About Kmetris
Evangelist Kmetris Hunt first encounter with church was at a very early age in a small town in Mississippi under the tutelage of her grandmother. Upon her family’s arrival to Chicago in 1983, she began visiting a local church on the westside where she was baptized at the age of 12. She later rededicated her life to Christ at the age of 19 in 1992. She began faithfully serving at her local church, where she learned to do her first sermonette, eventually joining the praise and worship team. After several years of mentoring, she began to serve in the capacity of praise and worship leader and because of that, Evangelist Kmetris has been afforded many opportunities over the years to minister in P&W throughout the Chicagoland area and abroad, including singing on the Bobby Jones Show. As she went about ministering in P&W, God began to also open doors for her to preach The Gospel. During this time, she also served in the capacity of evangelism outreach coordinator, administration, finance, and youth department.
As a result of her diligence, spiritual growth, character, and servants’ heart she was promoted and installed into the gift of the Evangelist in January of 2009. She also earned a certificate in Biblical Studies in 2014 through her local ministry. Along with that, Evangelist Kmetris is an Award Winning Author who has authored 4 books of which 3 are a part of her book series titled “The Power to Overcome”, a manual for those desiring to overcome childhood abuse, spiritual manipulation/abuse, and domestic violence. Evangelist Kmetris is also a songwriter/jingle writer and contemporary gospel artist. In 2016 she released her debut single “Favor of God” and since produced 2 more singles and 5 jingles for others in ministry. Additionally, she is a certified life coach who is an advocate against any form of abuse and has assisted women in escaping their abusive partners. She has been invited to speak against abuse at Loyola University on 2 occasions, several church ministry platforms (locally and abroad) and on social media platforms. She is devoted to coaching and empowering others through their healing and restoration process.
Evangelist Kmetris attends and serves as the Evangelism President and on the Administration and Finance teams at New Nation Anointed Ministries where the pastor is Superintendent Dr. Rodney L. Jones. She is also the Evangelism President for the Emmanuel District and Evangelism Elect Lady for the Illinois Third Jurisdiction. She still has a love for praise and worship and serves in that capacity every chance the Lord affords her.
Evangelist Kmetris is a devoted mother of 4 and grandmother. Her mission is to do the will of The Father and go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature to bring about salvation, deliverance, and healing.
